This side-by-side illustrates a feature we created for our customer. The play area was a significant distance away from the homes patio and when not in use by their children had soft moonlight illumination. However, when the children were using the play area, the owners could turn on from the patio two dedicated specialty lighting units to brighten the area for closer monitoring.

This side-by-side of the landscape lighting in the back garden, illustrates a feature we added to the design when the homeowner mentioned how much they enjoy entertaining outdoors. From night to night, they enjoy the moonlight bathing the landscape and when they entertain, turn on the specialty landscape lighting unit to enhance their visibility with guests.

We created a master plan landscape lighting redesign and LED conversion for this wonderful Connecticut estate. Details from the estate gardens website follow: Maywood is a private estate located in the southern tip of Litchfield County, Connecticut. Classic architecture combined with several traditional gardens grace the property and its panoramic view of the Berkshire foothills.

The gardens immediately surrounding the main residence are formally structured, and lead out to more naturalized gardens and woodland trails. Various production gardens are integrated into the forty-acre landscape, providing fresh cut flowers, vegetables, and field crops.

Maywood is a member of Audubon international and is the first property in Connecticut to become a member of the Rainforest Alliance's Smart Wood Program for forestry management.
